Hello, I'm Minaa — welcome to Busyfoodbee. Grab a cuppa and get to know me!

Welcome to Busyfoodbee—I’m so happy you’re here at my corner of the internet! Don’t worry—I’m not going to bore you with a long introduction or a ramble about myself. You’re probably wondering what my blog is about, and that’s exactly why you’re reading. I promised I wouldn’t babble, but I will tell you a little story…
My Story
Hi! My name is Minaa, a full-time, self-taught food content creator. I also run a mini artisanal home baking business on the side—it’s still very new) Basically, everything you see here is made by me, myself, and I (how am I not bonkers yet?). I’m currently living life to the fullest with my husband and our ever-so-spicy-sweet cat (she can’t decide what to be, so she’s both) in our quaint home in The Netherlands.
I have over four years of self-taught cooking experience, and I started my food blogging journey with Busyfoodbee in late 2022.
Food and eating have been two of my biggest passions since I was just tiny baby Minaa. That passion always made me curious about different types of food and led me to explore dishes from around the world—fusion food, food trends, you name it. Whenever I go anywhere, food is the first thing I gravitate toward because I believe it’s the best way to understand local culture. I’ve also always been fascinated by the different flavors and textures of food. So you get it—food = Minaa.
My Cooking Journey
However, when the pandemic hit, so did my will to learn how to cook. It all started because I was craving my favorite food, and naturally, the place was closed due to the lockdown. So, I decided to make it myself. Yeah, it didn’t work because it was powered by 100% willpower and 0% skill.
So, I decided to shift my focus and fuel my will to learn how to cook. I knew just wanting to cook my favorite food wasn’t going to cut it. Well, maybe in the short term—but if I wanted to get good at it, I needed a solid goal.
So, my new goal became this: to be able to cook so well that if I ever craved something or came across a dish I was curious to try, I could rely on my skills to make and recreate it well—and cater exactly to what I like to eat without relying on easy takeout to satisfy a craving.
And that’s how my journey started.
It was difficult at first—the amount of information online was overwhelming, and I didn’t know where to begin. But through trial and error, Googling, asking around, and binge-watching cooking shows, I started to improve. Slowly, I gained confidence to cook a variety of recipes, and in the blink of an eye, it’s been over four years since I started cooking. I’ve learned a mountain-load of things (yes, mountain-load!), and I’m still learning as I create new recipes. That’s what I love most about what I do—the learning never stops, no matter how sharp your skills get.
Busyfoodbee & How I Can Help You
I wanted to share everything I’ve learned and my recipes because I believe there are others out there just like me—people who love food and want to channel that love into creativity in the kitchen.
My aim is to inspire fellow food lovers who may not know where to begin or maybe are well into their cooking journey, with approachable, creative, and diverse recipes. I want to help transform your love for eating into a love for creating—right in your own kitchen.
Why? Because I know the struggles, and I know how to help you.
You might be thinking, “Minaa, that’s sweet and all, but honey, there are tons of other bloggers out there pumping out recipes, and dare I say, some of them look even more creative, easy or delicious than yours!“
Sure—and as someone in the content creation world, I’m so proud of them and hope they soar sky-high!
So the question still remains, why me? Why Busyfoodbee?
Because I’m here to take your love for eating and channel it into a love for cooking—to help you gain the confidence to lean on yourself, be proud of yourself, and develop one of the most underrated but essential life skills: the ability to cook well.
Because when you can cook well, you have control over how and what you eat.
